Dallas police said all three occupants in the stolen vehicle were injured, two critically, and were taken to the hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue. One of the occupants died at the hospital.

Both officers were transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital and have since been released.

Due to the ages of the juvenile suspects, officials said their names will not be released publicly.

NBC 5 obtained security camera video from nearby businesses capturing the moment a Dallas police squad car was involved in the violent crash.

In the video, the suspect vehicle appears to be traveling the wrong way down Northwest Highway before colliding with the Dallas police cruiser, which did not appear to have emergency lights on in the footage. The video also showed what appeared to be two law enforcement vehicles with emergency lights flashing following the stolen vehicle and arriving to scene of the crash within seconds.

“You just know that that was a dangerous situation for everybody,” said Alvis Hillman at T.H.C shop.

NBC 5 obtained surveillance video from St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store and the T.H.C. shop on Northwest Hwy.

“It's a sad situation, you know,” said Alex Lopez, store director for St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores. “Cops are out there to help the community to help us out. People don't realize every time they're out there, it's a danger and it's very sad that doing their job, they're getting hurt.”

Lopez tends to check surveillance cameras early each morning due to criminal activity and speeding, and did so at 3 a.m. where the investigation well underway.

"When I saw that, I was like, oh my God, I hope everybody's okay," he said.

Lopez also shared the thrift store has been struck overnight by a speeding car before.

"Northwest Highway is just extremely busy," he said. "There's so many car accidents."

Shortly before speaking with NBC 5, Lopez had been monitoring a minor fender bender on the corner.

Shortly before 9 a.m., both vehicles were loaded onto tow trucks, and TxDOT officials were at the scene cleaning up debris.

West Northwest Highway was shut down in both directions at Webb Chapel Road for several hours as a result of the crash. The roadway has since been reopened.

Northwest Highway has reopened after a crash that left two police officers hospitalized. NBC 5's Alanna Quillen has the details.
